Apple Green Tea

Friday evenings are always the most relaxing time of my week. I come home late from office and then don't bother much about when to sleep. In fact its friday night that I can have tea in the night after dinner :). Today I decided to go green and have green tea. I had an apple sitting in my fridge since long. Usually they end up getting old with wrinkles before they get my attention so today I decided to use it in my tea. I am mostly a ginger tea lover (and yes the ginger here in US is not so great for my ginger tea so it has to be only from trader joe's). Few days back I had read somewhere about Lebanese apple tea so I just tried that today.
Apple Green Tea

Ingredients:
1. 1 Apple
2.  Green tea bags / loose tea
3. Sugar
4. Water
5. Lemon juice

Preparation:
1. Put 2 cups of water to boil. Add grated apple in it. Let it boil for few minutes.
2. Add sugar as per your taste and 1/2 to 1 tea spoon lemon juice.
3. Once the apple mix is well boiled, add tea bags in it and let it boil for couple minutes.
4. Strain with a strainer and tea is ready.

Interestingly enough, I had been trying to get something done at work (rather a lot of it before I leave for India in a week) since this evening and finally after finishing up having this tea, I have also figured out the problem I was facing. I guess its time to stop working now. Happy Friday!
